Hackney Beech Tree Crane Removal
Hickson Wardle Treecare were requested to provide an estimate for the removal of a large, mature Fagus sylvatica (Beech tree). The tree had been issued a five-day notice from the London Borough of Hackney due to the presence of fungal pathogens that were severely decaying the main trunk of the tree. The decaying section of the tree was bearing the entire weight of the upper canopy (approximately 10,000 kilograms). The tree was situated in a small backyard surrounded by buildings and areas with high public use. Given the elevated risk associated with maintaining the tree, Hackney Council determined that its removal was necessary.
Spring Tree Care and Maintenance Tips
Spring is a critical time for tree care and maintenance, as it marks the start of the growing season and allows you to prepare for summer. It’s an ideal time to inspect and prepare trees for the warmer months, especially after the cold has potentially caused some damage. From inspection to removing dead or damaged branches, checking mulch and watering, tree care is vital and ensures that trees have the best chance of flourishing in the summer.
Why Hire a Professional Arborist?
If you have trees in your outdoor space, it’s important they remain healthy, vibrant and as strong as possible. While tree care seems simple and straightforward, attempting to do it yourself can damage trees, shorten their life and put your own safety at risk. We recommend hiring an arborist, a qualified tree surgeon who has the expertise, equipment and skills to properly care for and maintain your trees.
